Term 2

I woke up early Saturday morning. suddenly I heard a knock at the door. It was Cameron. I got ready, then we hopped in the car, picked up chase and we were on our way to Cambridge for my Saturday sport.

First of all, while driving along in the car, chase, Cameron and I played a game. we each say one word and try to make a sentence. The first sentence was, ‘’chase is the coolest person in the universe even though he looks ugly.” we did a few more funny sentences then suddenly we stopped.  I said, ‘’why did we stop?’’ my mum said, ‘’because we are here,’’ so we hopped out and ran to our team.

Next, we started practicing with our team. we were kicking white soccer balls at Stevie (our goalie) then our game started.  I was first sub. I watched chase get the ball off the opposition and passed it to Cole, he passed it to hunter-rose, she passed it back to Cole he had a shot, it just went over the crossbar. then i subbed on for Blake. this time the opposition got passed, but Stevie stopped it and booted it downfield where jack got the ball. unfortunately my team kicked it out so we ended up marking the other team and the opposition threw it. I took it off them and passed it to Olivia and the ball got taken off her and it went out. so she did a quick throw to me And i  Passed it, but it got intercepted. jack got it off him and scored straight after.  it was the end of the first half and the score was 1-0 to my team.

finally the second half was almost starting. again I was first sub. the referee blew his whistle and we were trying to get the ball off the opposition, but they got past the midfielders, so Ethan ran up and kicked it downfield, to Olivia  where she kicked it out. I came on now and I subbed on for Blake. The other team got a throw in to their player, then I took It off them and I passed It to hunter-rose and she took a shot. we all thought it was a goal but it turned out that the goalie just saved it. the goalie had a goal kick and chase stopped it and kicked to Cole. Cole passed to chase and chase scored. we huddled up and did three cheers then shook hands at the end.  my coach told the team  who got player of the day, and it was me.

I thought it was fun, hot, and tiring but I still wanted to play another game.

Zirka Circus

On Wednesday, 1st of May, My Mum and I went to see the Zirka Circus at the Base in Hamilton, to see some really cool acts.

First of all, we went to our bright, yellow seats, we found them just in time because the show was starting and the opening act was the jugglers. They were juggling on a human stack of three, it looked amazing, then they juggled ten round orange and green balls, then there was a five minute break. 

Next, the contortionists came out and they went on a trampoline and did a triple back flip, then a double forward flip and landed. Then they did the splits as fast as lightning, then they flew away on a hoop, that was sparkling like bright coloured diamonds in the the sky.

Finally, the clowns came out and got plates and run and got sticks, and as soon as they did, they threw plates in the air and caught them on  the sticks.  They kept wobbling them so they would stay up and then they put balls on the clean white plates.

I thought that it was so good  that I wanted to work in a circus when I'm older.
